If you love the northern lights, simmer dim and wild weather of Unst, we would love you to become a Friend of Wild Skies Shetland.

Following the recent redesign and build of our website – generously funded by the Shetland Charitable Trust – the time felt right to launch our new Friends of Wild Skies Shetland membership scheme. This initiative gives our closest supporters the opportunity to contribute to our charity on a regular basis, helping to sustain and grow our work.

By becoming a Friend, you are doing more than making a donation. You are celebrating and protecting a place that means so much to so many. Unst’s stark beauty, tranquil charm and ever-changing skies create powerful memories – from windswept walks under dramatic clouds to the magic of the aurora dancing overhead. For many, this island inspires a deep sense of peace, pride and belonging.

It is that connection – to landscape, community and dark skies – that we are inviting people to support, in whatever way they can.

Friends who commit to a small annual subscription will stay closely connected to our activities and receive regular updates on events, projects and opportunities. Members will also enjoy a range of exclusive benefits, all while knowing their support is helping us continue what we believe is essential work for the community of Unst.

If you would like to join us, please visit the Friends page on our website and sign up today. For more information, email us at friends@wildskiesshetland.com – we would be delighted to hear from you.
