Sunshine, creativity and cyanotypes

20th July brought perfect weather for our first cyanotype print-making workshop, and what a fantastic day it was! Eager children – and plenty of grown-ups too – joined us to discover the magic of this fascinating photographic printing process.

After an engaging introduction from Wild Skies Trustee Fabien, everyone set to work creating their own beautiful cyanotype prints using specially-coated paper, sunshine and water. The results were incredible, with every participant producing something unique. Best of all, several budding artists left inspired to try cyanotype printing again at home!

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along, volunteered behind the scenes and helped the day run so smoothly. We couldn’t do events like this without that support. We’re incredibly grateful for the donations we received on the day. Every contribution helps us continue to offer hands-on events that connect people with Shetland’s skies and our natural environment.
